About
About this guide
Written by a nonprofit professional with 15+ years in direct field fundraising and 10+ years in nonprofit leadership, with hands-on time in many of the tools reviewed here. Most of it in shops where budgets are tight and a software decision follows you for years.
This site organizes fundraising software by shop size, because that is what actually determines what you should run. Ask what the best donor CRM is and the honest answer starts with a question back: how much do you raise, and who is going to be typing in it on a Tuesday afternoon. Every page here starts from that instead.
How the guide works
Every price on this site comes from the vendor's published pricing or, where pricing is quoted per organization, from ranges vendors and their customers report. Every recommendation names the shop size and situation it fits. Free tools are covered alongside paid ones, and the strongest advice on most pages is the simplest: shortlist two or three tools, book the demos, and test each one against your own data. A good demo will show you things no review can.
Consulting
I also consult with nonprofits on software purchase and integration: onboarding a new system, getting real value out of one you already pay for, training a team on it, and automating the workflows that eat the week. See the consulting page for more details.
