How to choose

Start with where the mess is. If it is work (grant deadlines, program tracking, who owes what by when), that is monday.com: a free two-seat plan, paid plans from about $9 per seat, and a nonprofit program with discounted pricing. If it is intake (program applications, volunteer sign-ups, scholarship forms), that is Jotform: a capable free tier and a permanent 50% nonprofit discount that brings paid plans to roughly $17 a month. And if the mess is money (a general ledger that has to report by fund), that is Aplos, fund accounting with donor management attached, from $79 a month.

Most shops end up with both, and they cost less together than one seat of almost anything else in the stack. One discipline keeps this category from becoming a liability: anything you learn about a donor belongs in the donor CRM, and donations belong on a giving platform. Boards and forms are for operations.
