Jotform is the workhorse form builder for nonprofit operations: program applications, volunteer intake, scholarship forms, event registrations, board surveys. The free tier covers 5 forms and 100 monthly submissions. Paid plans start around $34 a month, and Jotform’s permanent 50% nonprofit discount cuts that to roughly $17.
Who it fits
Any shop the day a program application outgrows an email thread. The features that matter arrive fast: conditional logic, file uploads for transcripts and W-9s, payment collection for fee-based programs, and approval workflows that route submissions to the right staffer.

The discount is permanent, not a first-year teaser, and the application is quick. Apply for it at signup before paying list price.
Watch the last column. Jotform caps payment submissions separately from regular submissions, and the marketing (free forms, 30+ gateways, no added transaction fees) does not mention it. On the free plan a nonprofit can accept ten gifts a month. If a form takes money, that cap is the number that decides your tier, not the form count.
How it compares
Generic form tools can take donations, but a dedicated giving platform converts better and handles receipts and recurring gifts properly; use Jotform for operations and a giving tool for gifts. For the project and list work behind the forms, monday.com covers the ground forms don’t.
Bottom line
Count your busiest intake month before choosing a tier, since submission caps matter more than features. Then start free and upgrade when a real form hits the cap. At the nonprofit price, this is one of the easiest yeses in the stack.
