Donor CRM
DonorPerfect alternatives
If you are shopping to replace DonorPerfect, the shortlist below is ordered by the situation you are in rather than by which vendor pays most. Every price is real and dated, and where staying put is the right answer, we say so.

Why shops leave DonorPerfect
- The bill grows with the record count. Pricing steps up as the file grows, which means a successful year — a good acquisition mailing, an inherited list, an event that added 4,000 names — arrives as a renewal increase.
- Features are tiered, not included. Online forms, monthly giving tools, mobile access and advanced reporting sit on different plans. Shops routinely find the feature they were sold requires the tier above the one they bought.
- The interface shows its age. It is a deep, capable system with a long history, and it looks like one. Part-time staff and board members tend not to log in, which is how databases go stale.
- Support and training are priced separately. Onboarding packages and premium support are real line items. Compare the first-year total, not the monthly rate.

1. DonorDock — Your list is growing and you want the price to stop moving
Flat tiers with unlimited contacts — roughly $98/mo Entry, $300/mo Grow, $585/mo Amplify — so growing from 3,000 to 30,000 records changes nothing about your invoice. That single structural difference is the reason most DonorPerfect switchers land here. The ActionBoard is the other reason: it surfaces who to contact today rather than waiting for someone to build a report. A 90-day money-back guarantee makes the switch low-risk, and there's a reader discount through this site.
2. Eleo — You want the lowest real price with the ladder published
Eleo starts at $39/mo up to 2,500 donor records and publishes every step above it — $59 at 5,000, $99 at 10,000, $159 at 15,000, $199 at 20,000, then $10/mo per additional 2,500. It covers donors, gifts, events, volunteers and mailings without add-on modules, which is the specific complaint most DonorPerfect shops have. You can budget three years out without a sales call.
3. Bloomerang — Adoption is the problem, not the price
If the real issue is that nobody except you opens the database, Bloomerang is worth the premium. $79/mo at roughly 1,000 contacts, about $125/mo at Standard, unlimited users at every tier. It is consistently rated the easiest system in the category to learn, and the retention dashboards answer the board's question — are donors coming back — without a report build.
4. Little Green Light — You need to cut the line item now
$45/mo up to 2,500 constituents, up to about $135/mo at 50,000, no contracts and no setup fees. LGL is the value floor for a system that still does real CRM work: custom fields, real reporting, mailing tools. The interface is dated in the same way DonorPerfect's is, so this is a price move, not an experience upgrade.
Most shops don’t leave DonorPerfect because it can’t do the job. They leave because the invoice moves in the wrong direction: up with the record count, up with the feature tier, up with the support package. The alternative that fixes that is usually a system with published, flat, or small-step pricing.
Sort the complaint before you shop
Three different problems get described as “we need to leave DonorPerfect,” and they have three different answers.
If the problem is cost trajectory, you want flat-tier pricing with unlimited contacts. DonorDock is the cleanest version of that structure — the bill does not move when the list does. Eleo is the cheaper answer if your list is not growing fast and you’d rather pay small published steps than a flat tier.
If the problem is adoption, price is not the lever. A cheaper system nobody logs into produces the same stale data at a lower price. Bloomerang costs more than what you’re leaving in some configurations and is still the right call when the development director, the ED and a part-time gift processor all need to touch the record.
If the problem is a specific missing feature, get precise before you migrate. Memberships, event registration and volunteer tracking are the three that usually drive a search, and Neon CRM carries all three natively at a published add-on percentage.
The number to compare
Our 2026 survey of 100 U.S. fundraising professionals put mean annual donor CRM spend at $716 under $250K raised, $2,726 at $250K–$1M, and $7,130 at $1M–$5M. Take your DonorPerfect renewal, add support and any module you pay for, and compare the total to the band for your size. If you’re inside it, the migration is discretionary. If you’re well above it, you have a finance-committee case that doesn’t depend on anyone’s opinion of the software.
Before you export
Ask for a full data export while you are still a customer in good standing, and confirm what comes with it — gift records, pledge schedules, soft credits, custom fields and any linked constituent relationships. Pledge schedules and recurring-gift records are where DonorPerfect migrations most often lose fidelity, because every system models them slightly differently. Have the new vendor import your actual file, not a sample, before you sign anything.
Then run both systems for one full gift cycle. Reconcile the totals against your deposits. Close the old one only when the numbers match.
